Injective (INJ)has launched the Super Intelligence Compute Index, an onchain benchmark tracking five Nvidia GPU rental rates with a perpetual market.

Injective (INJ)said on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, that it has launched the Super Intelligence Compute Index, or SICI, an onchain benchmark tied to the hourly rental cost of five Nvidia GPUs and paired with a perpetual market on mainnet. The move extends Injective’s push to list markets linked to real-world assets and AI infrastructure, while giving traders direct exposure to a compute input that is increasingly central to advanced artificial intelligence.

What SICI tracks

According to Injective, SICI tracks the hourly rental price of five Nvidia GPUs at fixed weights built on the LO:TECH Compute Index. The basket includes the Nvidia H100 SXM 80GB at 40%, the B200 at 25%, the H200 at 15%, the A100 SXM 80GB at 10% and the GeForce RTX 4090 at 10%. Injective said the H100 carries the largest weight, so its rental price has the biggest influence on the index. The company framed the inclusion of the 4090 as a way to capture the lower end of the compute market used for inference, fine-tuning and open-source model workloads.

How the index is priced

Injective said the index is built and priced by LO:TECH, which it described as a London-based capital markets firm operating across more than 80 venues, including Coinbase, Kraken and OKX. The methodology described by Injective says LO:TECH captures venue-level data directly, validates observations and applies outlier controls before inclusion. Each GPU is rebased to 100 at the July 22, 2026 daily fixing, and the five levels are combined using fixed weights. The published index is the trailing seven-day average of that hourly basket, quoted in index points. LO:TECH strikes the index hourly in UTC, with the 19:00 UTC print serving as the daily fixing, according to the company.

Why Injective is adding compute pricing

Injective said compute has become a bottleneck in AI, with large labs securing GPU capacity years ahead while smaller builders compete for remaining supply. The company cited the International Energy Agency in saying electricity consumption at AI-focused data centers surged 50% in 2025, while major technology companies have committed hundreds of billions of dollars to expanding AI infrastructure. Against that backdrop, Injective said GPU rental prices have become an economically important but underdeveloped market, shaped by demand, hardware availability and cloud competition.

The launch follows earlier products from Injective that also tied onchain markets to AI infrastructure. The company said it launched AIX in January 2025 as its first index perpetual, and later introduced an H100 GPU market in August 2025 with Squaretower. Injective also said that in October 2025 it brought pre-IPO perpetuals for companies including OpenAI, SpaceX, Anthropic and Perplexity onchain with data from Caplight and SEDA.

Trading and ecosystem access

Injective said the SICI perpetual is live on mainnet and open for integration across ecosystem dApps, with up to 10x leverage and USDC as the margin asset. The company said developers can plug the market into applications across the ecosystem without having to build a market from scratch. Injective also said 47% of its active perpetual markets are tied to real-world assets, across 135 RWAs spanning equities, FX, commodities, indices and pre-IPO names.

The project’s broader framing is that traders can now access both private AI-company exposure and GPU compute exposure on the same chain. However, the announcement does not provide evidence that the new market will attract liquidity, nor does it quantify adoption at launch. Injective said it is also set to introduce a new onchain finance primitive in the coming days, but did not specify the timing beyond that statement.
